eBook Giveaway

Katie over at CincinnatiCents is doing a fantastic eBook giveaway. Check it out here.

"Buying" Coupons

When I began couponing I was worried about how to get started. Since I hadn't been collecting the circulars I didn't have all the coupons I would see listed on people's sites. For example... Colgate Toothpaste - $1.49

$1/1 coupon in the 1/4/09 RP

So, my solution? Get onto EBAY (you can click through from BIGCRUMBS to earn money while shopping) and "buy" some coupons. I purchased several packs of 100 random coupons for about $1.50-$2.00 each and filed them in an accordian shaped file. Even though I paid someone to clip and send my coupons to me I'm still saving a ton of money!

There are also websites where you can purchase coupons. I purchased quite a few from The Coupon Clippers and was very happy with their level of service.

Some other sites I've stumbled across but not used yet:
The Coupon Master
Coupons & Forms
Coupon Clippers
Coupons & Things By Dede

Have fun shopping to save money!

Welcome to Me!

About a month ago I saw The Coupon Mom on the oprah show and thought, "How intriguing. I wonder if this is possible?" Two weeks ago I saw Frugal Coupon Mom, Ashley, on the Dr. Phil show. I thought, "Now, really, this MUST be possible." I started searching Ashley's site and found myself browsing through Mommy Snacks and Cincinnati Cents and The Grocery Gathering. It IS possible. In only one week I've saved a total of $140.46, $93.16 of that was in actual paper coupons! I've learned so much in the one week that I've been doing this that I want to document it and get it all down so that I can keep track of it for my own personal use and in the hopes that I can help others as well. With the economy the way it is we can all use the extra cash. And hopefully it comes back up soon. But if it doesn't I want to have faith that my family, and my two children will be able to "make it." This is my coupon story.
